Basalt fiber chopped yarn for cement concrete/mortar is a steel-like fiber reinforced material specially developed for cement concrete/mortar. The fibers are coated with (silane) sizing agent. Therefore, basalt fiber chopped yarn is the preferred material for reinforcing thermoplastic resin, and is also the best material for reinforcing concrete. As a secondary reinforcement material, it can significantly improve the toughness, flexural and tensile properties and impermeability of concrete. Therefore, basalt fiber is an excellent material to replace polypropylene (PP) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) for reinforcing cement concrete.
